Il nuovo IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Heritage Bronze Limited Edition (Ref. IWC r501005) riprende nelle linee lo storico Big Pilot’s Watch calibro 52 T. S. C., il più grande orologio da polso realizzato a Schaffhausen nel 1940. Questa nuova referenza sfoggia una cassa in bronzo di 46,2 millimetri di diametro per 15,4 millimetri di spessore.
Il cuore meccanico è il calibro di manifattura IWC 52110 (sistema di ricarica automatica Pellaton con elementi in ceramica, spirale Breguet, due bariletti, riserva di carica di 7 giorni). La cassa interna in ferro dolce protegge il movimento dagli effetti dei campi magnetici.
Il quadrante di colore nero è protetto da vetro zaffiro bombato, antidecompressione e antiriflesso ambo i lati. La minuteria, i numeri arabi e le lancette ad elica di colore blu sono rivestite con sostanza luminescente di colore beige. L’indicatore della riserva di marcia è presente in un contatore circolare a ore 3 mentre a ore 6 è presente la finestrella del datario.
Il fondello è in titanio e riporta inciso il numero X/1500 della serie limitata.
Impermeabile fino a 6 bar, l’orologio è abbinato a un cinturino in pelle di vitello marrone con impunture a contrasto.

The new IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Heritage Bronze Limited Edition gets its look from the historic Big Pilot’s Watch (Calibre 52 T.S.C.) of the 1940s. It will be limited to 1.500 pieces.
It features a black dial and blue hands coated with a luminescent material; the same material used for the hour numerals and minute track. The watch’ glass is secured to avoid popping out in low-pressure surroundings.
The watch, with a bronze case (46,2 mm x 15,4 mm), is powered by the self-winding IWC-manufactured calibre 52110 (central hacking seconds, date at 6 o’clock, power reserve display for 7-day power reserve). The soft-iron inner case protects against magnetic interference.
Water resistant up to 60 meters and with a case back in titanium engraved with the number x/1.500, the ref. IW501005 is proposed with a brown calfskin strap.
It will be available from November 2017, priced 14.000 euros.
