NOVITA’: Restyling per la Nissan Qashqai[:en]The new Nissan Qashqai has lots of new features to strenghten its leadership position

Lanciata nel 2007, la Nissan Qasqhai quest’anno ha festeggiato 10 anni di permanenza sui mercati e quasi 2,3 milioni di esemplari venduti. In forza del suo indiscusso ruolo di modello più venduto in Europa (nonostante una concorrenza mostruosa con oltre 20 concorrenti) nella sua categoria e oltre 80 riconoscimenti, di cui 19 titoli “Car of the Year”, il Crossover giapponese si presenta al mercato come model year 2018 – presentato lo scorso marzo a Ginevra – con una veste profondamente rinnovata, che ha interessato quattro aree di intervento:
- Nuovo design
- Maggiore qualità degli interni
- Miglioramento della dinamica di guida
- Nuovi contenuti tecnologici Nissan Intelligent Mobility
DESIGN
La lunghezza è passata da 4377 a 4394 mm. La larghezza (1806 mm) e l’altezza (1595 mm) sono rimaste invariate. Il bagagliaio ha una capacità di 430 litri che sale a 1.598 litri ed è integrato con Flexible Luggage Board System di Nissan che permette di disporre ripiani e divisori secondo 18 configurazioni.
Nel definire il nuovo volto della Qasqhai i designer hanno perseguito l’obbiettivo del “Dinamismo Premium”. Notiamo quindi il nuovo paraurti anteriore con minori componenti in plastica nera di percezione naturalmente “cheap”. Inedita è anche la griglia V-Motion al centro del muso, studiata per avvolgere il nuovo logo Nissan e creata in due differenti versioni a seconda degli allestimenti. Le modifiche si sono rese necessarie anche per ospitare la videocamera necessaria al parcheggio. Nuovo è anche il sistema di luci, con fari diurni a led, anabbaglianti con AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System) e nuove luci abbagliati con fascio luminoso migliorato. Nuovo anche lo scudo paraurti posteriore, il design delle ruote in lega da 17″, 18″ e 19″ e le tinte degli esterni Vivid Blue e Chestnut Bronze.
MOTORI
Le motorizzazioni della Nissan Qashqai comprendono: 1.5 Turbodiesel 110 Cv (cambio manuale a 6 marce, trazione anteriore, consumo medio dichiarato di 3,8 l/100 km), 1.6 Turbodiesel 130 Cv (cambio manuale a 6 marce, trazione anteriore, consumo medio dichiarato di 4,4 l/100 km), 1.6 Turbodiesel 130 Cv (cambio automatico CVT, trazione anteriore, 4,4 l/100 km), 1.6 Turbodiesel 130 Cv (cambio manuale a 6 marce, trazione integrale, 4,9 l/100 km), 1.2 benzina 115 Cv (cambio manuale a 6 marce o automatico CVT, trazione anteriore, consumo medio dichiarato di 5,6 l/100 km), 1.6 benzina da 163 Cv (cambio manuale a 6 marce, trazione anteriore, consumo medio dichiarato di 5,8 l/100 km).
DINAMICA DI GUIDA E SICUREZZA
Sulla nuova Qashqai è stato rivisto l’assetto per migliorare la risposta del telaio e aumentare il comfort. Novità anche sullo sterzo, modificato per migliorarne la reattività e ridurre le vibrazioni. E’ stato inoltre integrato con Active Return Control.
Di serie ci sono 6 airbag, ABS, EBD, ESP e Stand Still Assist (SSA), che integra l’assistenza alle partenze in salita (HSA) sulle auto con cambio manuale, Traffic Sign Recognition (sistema intelligente di riconoscimento della segnaletica stradale), Intelligent Driver Alertness (sistema intelligente di rilevamento attenzione guidatore), sistema intelligente di assistenza al parcheggio, Intelligent Around View Monitor e avviso cambio di corsia involontario.
Nel 2018 sarà possibile avere il sistema ProPilot, dispositivo ispirato ai concetti di guida autonoma. Basato su Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) e Traffic Jam Pilot (TJP) regola sterzo, accelerazione e frenata in movimento.
ABITACOLO
Sono previsti a listino cinque allestimenti: ai tradizionali Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta e Tekna si aggiunge il Tekna+ (sedili in pelle, supporto lombare a 4 punti, sedili elettrici con memorie anche per gli specchi laterali, calotte dei retrovisori satinate e barre al tetto)
l’Abitacolo della nuova Nissan Qashqai è più silenzioso per effetto di nuovo materiale isolante, aumento dello spessore dei vetri e, per le versioni con motore Turbodiesel 1.6, nuova calibrazione del propulsore.
L’allestimento è stato aggiornato con volante di nuovo disegno (a “D” con comandi sulle razze e diametro aumentato da 34 a 37,5 mm); migliorate anche le finiture e, sugli allestimenti più ricchi il livello delle impunture. Ora, infine, attraverso il telecomando in dotazione con la chiave è possibile comandare tutti e 4 i finestrini.
I passeggeri siedono su sedili di nuovo disegno e, sulle versioni alto di gamma, con pelle nappa e impunture particolarmente curate nella fattura.

Qashqai is the most successful model in Europe in Nissan’s 83-year history, with approximately 2.3 million sold since the original version was launched in 2007. March 2017 was officially its most successful sales month ever across Europe, with more than 33,000 units sold. With this strong credentials the Qashqai is now available with significant enhancements which further develop its premium character.
DESIGN
The changes to the Qashqai have increased its overall length by 17mm, with the total moving from 4,377 to 4,394mm. Width (1,806mm) and height (1,595mm) remain unchanged.
Nissan calls the shape of the new Qashqai as ‘Premium Dynamism’. The front of the Qashqai has been completely revised, with an integrated new front bumper fitted as standard. At the centre is the latest incarnation of Nissan’s iconic ‘V-motion’ grille, which frames the new Nissan badge. There are two versions of the badge. From N-Connecta it has a completely flat finish. A second version of the badge, contoured in a more traditional way, is fitted to cars without Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) system. The clam-shell bonnet has been redesigned with a straight-line leading edge.
At the rear of the new Qashqai, the resigned bumper creates a more contemporary shape and more premium finish. For the first time there are two distinct bumpers depending on the grade of car chosen. The design is the same, but the lower apron features satin silver inserts on N-Connecta and above.
In profile view the enhancements to the Qashqai are expressed through a new range of premium alloy wheel designs in 17, 18 and 19-inch sizes. All have been aerodynamically optimised to reduce drag.
DRIVE FEATURES
On ride comfort, the priority was calmer body motion and improved impact shock by retuning the dampers, reducing the single wheel spring rate, and modifying rubber components. The anti-roll bar stiffness has been increased to maintain handling performance. To enhance handling, the engineering team gave the new Qashqai new thicker steering shaft and changes to the steering effort build-up around dead centre.
There are significant improvements to noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance. More sound insulation material, and material of a higher quality, has been added. Additional sealing around the front doors has been integrated, while the rear door glass is now thicker – from 3.15mm to 3.85mm.
ENGINES
tHE New Nissan Qashqai offers the choice of petrol or diesel, six-speed manual or CVT XTronic automatic transmissions, and two or four-wheel drive to meet every type of customer need. The line-up includes the 1.5-litre 110PS diesel which, with CO2 emissions of just 99g/km and fuel economy of only 3.8 litres/100km, is the segment leader.
The model range comprises: 1.5 Turbodiesel 110 hp (6MT, 2WD), 1.6 Turbodiesel 130 hp (6MT or CVT, 2WD or 4WD), 1.2 petrol 115 hp (6MT or CVT, 2WD) and 1.6 petrol 163 hp (6MT, 2WD)
NEW INTERIOR
Entering the cockpit the new steering wheel, now D-shaped, catches attention. The steering wheel’s compact central hub is smaller than before and the three spokes are slimmer to improve instrument visibility. Furthermore it’s characterised by four-way controllers and widened rim’s width ( from 34mm to 37.5mm).
The air vents and interior door handles are finished in higher-quality, while smart new stitching has been added to the centre console armrest between the two front seats from Acenta grade. The Qashqai’s headliner is now dark from Tekna grade. For customers choosing a Qashqai with the CVT XTronic automatic transmission a leather-style gaiter has been added to the gear selector.
One-touch power window switches are now featured on all four doors and standard across the range. Additionally, all windows can be opened and closed together remotely via the key fob.
The front seats have been completely redesigned on N-Connecta grade and above. Now monoform in style, they feature an extended base and bolster shape for additional support.
DAB digital radio is now standard for the first time (in most markets) while the NissanConnect touch-screen satellite navigation unit (standard on N-Connecta grade and above, optional on Acenta) features a smart new user interface.
The boot gives a load capacity of 430 litres which increases to 860 litres when the 60:40 split rear seats are folded flat
TEKNA+: THE FIFTH TRIM
New to the Qashqai range is the addition of a fifth grade, Tekna+, which sits as the flagship of the line-up above Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta and Tekna. Externally, Tekna+ comes with premium satin silver door mirror caps and roof rails.
In the cabin, the new premium seats are trimmed in the highest-quality soft nappa leather, with luxurious 3D quilting on the centre panels – a first for Nissan in Europe. The driver’s seat features electrically controlled four-way pneumatic lumbar support – another first for Nissan Europe. The design is replicated in the rear. Black leather is standard, with the choice of a rich plum colour. Standard is the new BOSE Premium eight-speaker audio system.
STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Every new Nissan Qashqai comes with six airbags as standard, plus driver assistance systems including anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution and stability control. Other standard equipment includes manual air-conditioning, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, DAB digital radio (in most markets), Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control with speed limiter, and electrically adjustable heated door mirrors.
Depending on the grade chosen, available features include dual-zone climate control, automatic headlights and wipers, folding door mirrors and privacy glass. Many of the higher-grade features are available as optional extras on lower grades. Additional options include the full-length panoramic glass roof with one-touch shade, exterior styling plates and side styling bars.
